Welcome to my site. My focus on this website is the eventual instruction of my children and grandchildren about the history of Ed Bohling Jr. It is a work in progress and many elements have not even been started. When I became unemployed in 2008 I joined the ranks of those of my age group who find re-employment difficult, many doors to occupations that I held in the past have closed due to health concerns and physical limitations. I made the choice not to stand idly by and decided to pursue the continuation of my education. On August 25th 2009 I began my first class with Ashford University in an effort to gain a bachelors degree in history. History is my passion and my education in it has never stopped. Since attending Ashford I have made the deans list four times and will be on it again for the fall of 2011. I have lived much of the history of the last 36 years that children are now learning in school. I believe that my world travels and first hand knowledge of foreign cultures gives me a unique perspective that other students and teachers of history do not possess. I completed the last class in my degree program on December 19th 2011. From here it is on to Masters in History with a concentration in military history with American Public University.
