ABOUT ME.

                        I was born in the North and moved to the South  with my parents before I joined the Navy in 1974.  I am southern in attitude by choice and other than my tours with the Navy and temporary homes in Alaska and the Philippines I have called the South my home. My family and I have called Tampa , Florida home since I moved my wife and daughter from the Philippines in 1992. If Pinatubo had not erupted it is likely that we would have maintained a home in Metro Manila, however Clark Air Base had been wiped out and Alaska Usa Federal Credit union with it. I was no longer able to retrieve my net pay from my account while at home and this was before direct deposit or state of the art ATM service was available in the Philippines.

                              I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History degree from Ashford University on December 19th 2011. The ultimate goal is to teach at the college level or return to some sort of Federal Service. In order to reach my goals I have enrolled at American Public University for a Master's Degree in Military and Diplomatic History. Classes begin there on February 6th. 2012. One of my friends at church who went into federal service after a career in the US Army has indicated to me just how valuable my current degree is in procuring employment within the federal spectrum. I have 5 points Veterans preference but with the rank at which my degree was awarded I stand a far better chance than those with a lower GPA. What ever the case if I can land a federal job that can offer me a post in the Philippines or Singapore so that I can return my wife to a place where she was much happier I will have met my most important goal..
