Port of Yokohama, Japan

Yokohama, Japan

Posted January 30, 2012

This is  the skyline of Yokohama from our berth this is basically what we saw albeit on a much larger scale. The Ferris wheel kind of act likes a clock in that it makes one complete revolution in an hour. It is comparable to the attractions in London and Dallas but you would never get me on it. Yokohama not only has a China Town in the vicinity but a Korea Town as well. Koreans make up a very small minority within the Kanto Plain. I tended to take the subway out to Yokosuka if I needed something from the Navy Exchange. The only time I visited Yokohama was aboard the USNS Observation Island T-AGM 23 in late 1993.
